Welcome to my website of Christian artwork! My name is Jason Robichau and for the past six years I have been pursuing a career that incorporates two of my passions: sports and art. I have been a Christian for most, if not all, of my life but it wasn't until recently that I felt led to do some Christian artwork. Over the past few months, my wife and I have been volunteering with Hope & A Future and have witnessed the amazing things they are doing in the lives of foster children in Arizona. I have recently created a painting for Hope & A Future in which prints and greeting cards can be purchased to raise money for their mission. In addition, I have 10 scripture paintings and 3 Christmas paintings for you to enjoy and purchase. I tried to represent the theme of each scripture purely without sugar-coating or watering them down. I hope that you enjoy the tour of my website and I hope that you will email me your comments on my artwork.
Sincerely,
Over a two month period, I felt God was leading me to do Christian artwork to support Christian organizations and churches. It was not until a couple of months ago that I realized what and how I could use my talents to raise funds. In my studio one day, I decided to play around with oil paints that I had sitting around on a piece of board. During the process, I noticed that some pencil marks that were on the board showed through the paint. All of a sudden I wrote GOD in bold letters on the board and painted over it and low and behold, it appeared through the paint. Then it hit me that I could do different themed scriptures. The first three that came to mind were Grace, Faith, and Salvation.
Now that I have the paintings, my idea is to sale prints of each painting to raise money for different churches, Christian organizations, and individuals. Each year, Hope & A Future puts on a week long camp for foster kids from around Arizona. The camp features events such as the Princess Program for the girls and an All-Star program for the boys that make these kids feel as special as they are. It costs Hope & A Future $350 to send each foster kid to camp. We are selling lithograph prints ($25), greeting card sets ($15), and calendars ($15) of my Christian artwork with a portion of the money ($15 from each print, $5 from each GC set, & $5 from each calendar) going to offset some of these expenses. Our mission is to raise enough money so that we can send as many kids to camp as possible. I hope that you enjoy these paintings and can help us with this mission.
God Bless!
My name is Jason Robichau and I am a 31-year-old artist from Houston, Texas. All of my life I have had a fascination with recreating life on to a piece of paper. So, naturally, after college (I graduated with a degree in business) I decided to become an artist. However, the road to becoming a successful artist is not paved so I spent approximately one year struggling until I decided that I needed to get a job. I took a job with the Houston Rockets working in sales (the complete opposite lifestyle of an artist). After 8 months I decided that the working world was not for me so I decided to quit my job and pursue my passion and dream in life. Since quitting, over 7 years ago, God has blessed me with many open doors that have brought me around the nation, meeting incredible people. My credo in life is that God has blessed me with the gift of different talents and what I do with those talents is my gift to God. So in turn, I decided to use my talents to help those that are less fortunate. Over the past 7 years, I have been involved with many different charity events around the nation in which my paintings have raised nearly $400,000.
I view myself as a self-taught artist. Even though I have taken many art classes in my life, I believe that creativity and the ability to create artwork is not something that can be taught. I contribute my progression as an artist to hard work and the simple technique of trial & error. Whenever I get a crazy idea into my head about a new technique or a new subject, I tend to try it out to see where it takes me. I have to be honest though and say that it doesnt always work out as pictured in my head but every once in a while I stumble across something great.
