Artist Statement

In all my years as a Duke fan, only a handful of players have made the kind of impact that Cooper Flagg has. From the moment he put on a Duke jersey, I knew he’d become one of my favorite Blue Devils of all time. I’d been waiting for that signature moment to capture in a painting—and then, one Tuesday night in January, Cooper came up with a steal and finished with an incredible dunk.

This painting was born from that unforgettable moment in Cameron Indoor Stadium. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
