Artist Statement

For years I have been asked to commemorate "The Hit" but I have resisted due to the fact that the images from that night were not great and would be hard to pull out the necessary details to do a feature painting. My family and I recently moved back to College Station which was just the push that I needed to take on this painting. My goal with this painting was to honor the play without embarrassing the TCU player. It was quite a challenge to say the least but I am proud at the end result.  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it!
